NuGENT + co. is a residential and hospitality interior design firm based in atlanta, georgia.
Cal Nugent-Jones has spent the last seven years growing his knowledge and experience in the world of high-end residential and hospitality interior design and architecture. Following his graduation from the notable MFA program at the New York School of Interior Design, Cal pursued a career working for top design firms in New York City. During this time, Cal was able to refine his skills in project management, client relations, design development, and construction through large-scale design work. He has worked on projects all over New York as well as in London, Los Angeles, Miami, Santa Barbara, Atlanta, and Barbados, to name a few.
Following the decision to move back to his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia to be close to family, Cal decided to start Nugent + Co. with the hopes of continuing to grow his skills and expand his talents to a new design market. His approach to Nugent + Co. is to constantly evolve the design aesthetic to achieve the idea of "expecting the unexpected" from his firm and the work they create. His goal is to always listen to the client first and do his best to evolve their style so that the end result is a space they can love and continue to grow into. Nugent + Co. is open to projects of any size- we believe that even the smallest of design can make a lasting impact.
NuGENT + co is a residential design firm based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Cal Nugent-Jones has spent the past seven years building his experience in high-end residential design and architecture. After earning his MFA from the New York School of Interior Design, he began his career working with leading design firms in New York City, where he gained experience across all stages of the design process, including project management, client relations, design development, and construction.
His work has taken him across New York and to cities including London, Los Angeles, Miami, Santa Barbara, Savannah, and Atlanta. Working across a variety of projects and locations has given Cal a broad perspective on design and a practical understanding of how to create spaces that are both thoughtful and functional. After returning to his hometown of Atlanta, Cal founded Nugent + Co. The studio was created as an opportunity to bring his experience to a new market while continuing to develop his own approach to design.
Nugent + Co takes a flexible approach to each project, with the goal of creating spaces that feel personal rather than following a set aesthetic. Cal believes good design starts with listening to the client and understanding how they want to live and use a space. From there, he works to refine and build on their existing style, introducing new ideas while keeping the end result comfortable and approachable.
The studio welcomes projects of all sizes, from individual rooms to full-scale residential renovation and new build. Cal believes that thoughtful design can make a lasting impact regardless of the size or scope of a project.
